Outreach activitiesWe are committed to ensuring that all residents of the Australian Capital Territory are aware of the services and assistance available from the ACT Ombudsman. The office periodically conducts public information sessions in Canberra and the ACT Region. The Outreach Unit can arrange information sessions or speakers to address seminars and other functions. We can give a presentation on the work of the ACT Ombudsman (and the Commonwealth Ombudsman), including our role, our investigative process and the types of complaints we receive and tips on how to avoid being the subject of a complaint. We can also provide publications, posters and other information about the Ombudsman to organisations and individuals on request. We want to know if the information we provide is clear, appropriate and effective. We therefore welcome feedback on our information material and on any aspect of the Ombudsman's operations.
